I purchased this postcard on Ebay on February 25/ 2012 for $15.84. This was just the start of collecting. I had never meant to become a collector of postcards, but this was a very valuable piece of Smiths Falls history to me because I had never thought as to what was at this location before the Memorial Centre.
Postage stamped August ?/ 1937, the back of the card reads:
Mrs. Nellis McCarlane
Roblin, Ontario
Dear May; Got home OK & had an awful headache. The train stopped at every red light. My Peter is dead. Hope you are fine. Kay has not been up yet. Give Nellis our regards. We'll write later. Love Joy & Len.
